Boy, oh boy. When going to Hanoi I was expecting smell and view of mold, noises and smells from the streets. Boy, I couldn't be more wrong. It's just a magic. Starting from the beginning - I was upgraded instantly on f-o-c basis, just because why not. So I've got the deluxe street view room on top floor instead of classic (cheapest one). Ladies and gents at reception were exceptional (special thanks to Lucy and the whole crew for everything), few of them speak English rather fluently (to my shame - maybe even better than I do). Surprises do not stop here. I've checked the room - it was spacious. No nasty smells. No signs of mold (trust me, I've searched for it like a maniac). No bugs. And quite a surprise - keeping in mind, that there was a street market time (nights between Fri and Mon) - it was quite quiet. Also dash of sun light in the morning is a nice thing to have. Ok, i though to myself - maybe it's just a super-duper fancy room to fish out positive reviews, so I've came back next weekend and booked cheapest room (I knew it will be either without windows or with small one without any actual view, but that's why I've opted for it - street market, remember? Also I wanted to see if there is any difference in room quality per se (again - mold, ventilation, bad maintenance) - and again - NO SUCH THINGS! Even the cheapest one was tidy clean, fresh, no signs of mold or excessive humidity, needless to say - I've slept like a baby again. If I ever will need a hotel in Hanoi - I will not book any other.

We loved this hotel! Bear in mind, it's in the middle of the old town of Hanoi, which is a manic, loud, chaotic and overwhelming place until you get used to it as a tourist. But it is the area for most first-time tourists in Hanoi, so this hotel's location is absolutely perfect. What we particularly enjoyed was the staff of the hotel. I don't know how and why, but the entire team (reception, restaurant etc.) was made up of young people who all spoke English very well (very rare in Vietnam) and they all seemed to have come out of the same hospitality school. The whole setup felt like it was some kind of a youth group project to run a hotel and it worked very well! All members of staff were very helpful when we asked for advice and directions and they make a serious effort to smooth your stay in Hanoi. They were very helpful in arranging transportation and other requests we had, and when there was a small misunderstanding in one of the bookings (nothing too major for us) they graciously offered to cover 50% of the cost. Overall this is a fantastic hotel for visitors to Hanoi and the team running it create a unique atmosphere that combines professionalism with a welcoming spirit. I would definitely stay there again!

Very central & in the middle of the old town Hanoi. We had booked in for three days but ended up staying for six. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hanoi Boutique Hotel& Spa. Our room was very charming & very comfortable with instant hot water. Very clean. Breakfast was amazing ,catering for Asian & western tastes. We always looked forward to the breakfast to kick start our day of sightseeing & exploring the old town. What made this hotel a memorable experience was the staff. They were so warm, gentle, caring & very helpful. I feel the need to mention Mint, Jeremy, Chloe & Neo. Beautiful people like all Vietnamese. Mint was just incredible. She took care of our travel to Halong Bay & Sapa which made our lives so much simpler & hassle free. Thank you Mint. They all deserve a pay rise ha,ha! Seriously. We highly recommend this hotel when you come to Hanoi.

This was by far one of the best hotel experiences I have experienced. The quality and attentiveness of service was unparalleled. From the moment we entered, we were greeted with welcome tea, provided maps and tailored questions to make our visit to Hanoi more comfortable and easy. Extra gratitude to Jeremy and Lucy for there outstanding customer service. No detail was over looked, from daily hand written notes and chocolates, to staff personally greeting us by name at breakfast, even offering me breakfast in bed when I wanted to sleep in. The spa facilities were amazing and very affordable, we had a private soak, steam and sauna for $18/person USD, highly recommend. Location was central but outside of the chaos of old town. Forget your other options, this is the place you want to be. One million thanks

Couldn't recommend this hotel enough. Firstly the staff were absolutely incredible - so friendly, welcoming, helpful and smiley. Such a lovely team there who really put a lot of effort into making sure you had a great stay. Breakfast was pretty good, comfortable beds, decor in room quite dark but plenty of lighting. Upon check in, the staff were very clear about there being no view from our room - we knew this and didn't mind at all but just a heads up in case you don't want to open your curtains to a wall. Great location in Old Quarter, some great restaurants around and even the hotel gave us a list of recommended cafes and restaurants so that was helpful. Spa treatment was pretty good too, just a bit more expensive than a separate spa but always the way.
